Foundations Bible Reading Plan
December 12th - May 31st, 2018
In 2018, Dawson as a whole will be focusing on The Word. As a student ministry, we would like to provide an opportunity for students and parents to study Scripture through the Foundations Bible Reading Plan. Our goal is for students and parents to read through the Bible together in 2018 and discuss Scripture weekly. You can find a description of Foundations below.
The registration cost is $15 and guarantees you one book with the option of adding on more books (each for $15).
"With Foundations: A 260-Day Bible Reading Plan for Busy Teens, students can read through all 66 books of the Bible in one year, while still having the flexibility of reading 5 days per week. Along with supplementary devotional content each day, they can experience the miracle of reading and responding to the entirety of God’s Word. By using the H.E.A.R. journaling method, students will be guided through Highlighting, Explaining, Applying, and Responding to passages, allowing for practical application throughout the year-long plan."
March 2nd - March 3rd, 2018
Dawson Student Ministry is excited to join Youth Ministry 360 for Make Ready Weekend on March 2-3, 2018. This discipleship weekend will take place at The Church at Brook Hills here in Birmingham. This conference is designed to create intentional moments of discipleship between fathers and sons. Furthermore, Make Ready Weekend will encourage and equip fathers to be the spiritual leaders their children need. This will be an incredible weekend led by Rick Burgess of the Rick and Bubba Show and Andy Blanks, publisher and co-founder of Iron Hill Press.
